How to Help
Though caring for horses is an incredibly rewarding experience, it is also financially demanding. Our rescue relies solely on donations to operate.
All donations are tax deductible and 100% of your donation goes directly to support our organization's mission, vision and goals.
Grant Writers are always needed! Grants take time and knowledge to receive. They are very useful here at the rescue to assist us in feeding, medicines and big projects needed to help take care of our herd.
We are also looking for volunteers and maintain the Tack Shop assistant manager, secretarial help in the office and horse groomers.

Monetary Contributions
Financial donations cover the costs of saving horses and caring for them at the rescue. Monetary gifts pay for feed and hay, medical and farrier care and property maintenance.
This is the quickest way that you can help us.
Monthly Sponsorship
Become a sponsor to help us care for these horses by donating an amount of money we can count on every month.
If you would like to sponsor a particular horse, please look at our Sponsors Page and let us know so your donation will go directly to their care. Otherwise, we will use your monthly donation toward the purchase of hay, grain, medications, veterinary and farrier services.
volunteer
Volunteers are always needed, whether you are familiar with horses or not! We look for volunteers to come out afternoons or early evenings to clean pens, rake and sweep, feed, water, brush and love.
South Jersey Horse Rescue welcomes groups of all kinds - from Girl and Boy Scouts, to the Arc Of Atlantic County, Pal, Boys & Girls Club, 4-H Clubs, The Key Club of Egg Harbor City High School, Veterans Organizations, Stockton University and more!
We love our volunteers!
